Well, I've overhauled all my ambassdeur 6500s, breaking down to the spool, cleaned, that WD40 is a blessing for cleaning them, oiled and greased them up. Only found two worm gears that needed replacing-they're on order. I wiped my rods down, applied some varnish as needed. Re-tied all my lines and added new leaders. Checked all hooks for sharpness. My wife of going on 43 years, or is it 44, has warned me about fishing line in her vacuum. That power pro can really screw up one of those belts in a vacuum cleaner. ;D Just waiting on you guys to report they're hitting boards on the bank. Think I'll go to the barn and check on the boat again-make sure it's still there. This retirement thing can get to be bad in winter after hunting season is over.

I retired 10 years ago and I haven't missed work one single bit. I worked for Fed Govt, traveled a great deal,2-3 weeks a month. Everyone said I'd miss the travel--NOT! As long as I can hunt and fish and chase the ole lady around I'm good to go. ;D Its this time of year that I hate. I really dislike fishing in the cold, makes me feel like I should have a rifle or shotgun with me instead of a rod.

You think PowerPro causes problems with a vacuum cleaner, try a dropped primer...
