Hi all, We are heading up to the lake next week before we go totally stir crazy with the stay at home stuff. Wife ignored me and ended up getting a place about 2 miles above the Halesford bridge. I'm assuming stripers will be non-existent up there this time of year, but was wondering what I might run in to. Just fishing out of the kayak, so my range will be limited to around the house. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks

Hey Wharfrat! Like the name! The lake is muddy from the recent rains with some assorted trash and logs. The stripers are in the area, hitting plugs along the rocks and night and right at sunset.

Thanks for the info.... glad to hear I might have a chance for a striper off the yak in that area. Hopefully the lake will settle down a bit before I get there, although it looks like more rain coming.

Quick update - There was quite a bit of rain right before we arrived, so water was pretty stained/muddy. Did not have much luck at all (although not really unexpected). Tried trolling plugs during the day, and casting Tsticks/Redfins at night..... nada. Boat traffic was crazy on the weekend, and I hardly saw anyone else even trying to fish. A well, we had a great time and weather was good, there is always next time for the stripers.
