Cold weather, wind, and an abundance of power outages have kept me off the water a bit lately, but jumped on the chance to fish a beautiful night. I, like what seemed to be all of you, started in the lower Craddock Creek area. Only one baby fish there. That area is such a micro climate. Wind was troublesome and the fishing crowded so we bugged out. We moved up lake to find glassy water and some fish. Ended up with 12, the biggest being 30”. Water temp was holding 59-60. Heard just a few bait on the bank, and heard a handful of busts. Really surprised to see the number of people out there on a Wednesday well before the good surface activity has cranked up. It must have been the first trip out for some as I observed some scary stuff. Saw several folks running with front red/green lights only. Even had a couple of scary instances of hearing a boat going by but no lights in sight. Night fishing seems to get scarier and scarier. Please, come prepared.

Last night was my second trip and was slow just like the last trip. Very few shad very few stripers. Only caught 2 small fish but fished very hard. It's the latest I've seen the action to.not heat up that I can remember.Stay safe!

Nobody workin, it’s like party time out there. Full on summer vibes..Dock parties everywhere, college kids in daddy’s wake boats and jet skis, and a bunch of Yankees hanging around. Gonna be a long summer.

I've almost hit some kids on an air mattress at 2 am in the middle Craddocks creek. I havnt been out in a few years but it seems a touch early for Craddocks. ( I lived at Mitchells Point) Id be working closer to the S curves if it were me.
