Just wondering how the crappie bite is. Has anyone been having any luck? Thinking about going some this week

Went Sunday mid day. Fished an hour and got a dozen for dinner and half as many throwbacks. They were deep on brush, about 12-16’ deep in about 20’. Found a few piles like this that held fish. We fished a few shoreline trees, and a couple docks with not much luck. Some on minnows, most on baby shads.

My friend has been doing really well with minnows in back of creeks fishing around fallen trees..

Not real shads. Bobby garland baby shads.
But they’ll eat a peanut shad too!
