This is something I posted on another fishing club's Facebook page....
A little common courtesy goes a long way, especially at a public boat ramp. Our club had a tournament out of the Oak Grove ramp yesterday, March 28th. Upon arrival at the ramp in the morning, we discovered there were multiple clubs launching from that location, so we pushed the end of our event back 30 minutes to help ease any congestion at the ramp. Imagine our surprise, and disgust, to see your club occupying the docks while you weighed in at the end of the dock. We fish solo, therefore we have to tie up while retrieving our tow vehicles. You had the docks tied up for an hour, which showed no respect to any others that were trying to use that ramp, and our club was not the only ones trying to get out. In the future please consider others that may need to use the docks and ramp, our public image is something that we as fishermen need to keep positive.

Yea. Full bore summer vibes out there yesterday. Hope they all enjoyed it, reckon we’ll be full lockdown this week...

I'm sure the other club was being mindful of social distancing, too, when everyone was crowding the public docks, right?!?. Sounds pretty inconsiderate on a number of fronts. I, along with wife and kiddos, haven't been in public since 3/13. Sucks, but only by a hardcore quarantine might I be able to safely take my father out striper fishing any this spring (stage iv cancer). I would have lost my mind if we'd pulled up to launch only to find a damned tournament crowd on the ramp. This is why the public launches likely will be locked down any day now. Inconsiderate to organize a freaking fishing tournament right now.

Tragedy of the Commons. I’d loose my mind if I didn’t have a neighborhood ramp.
