SML Fishing Tournament rescheduled

Under the current circumstances we are postponing the Smith Mountain Lake Fishing Tournament. It was scheduled for May 1-3,2020. We are now planning on October 16-18th,2020
Flyers will be out by September and tickets will be available at the regular outlets as well as on-line. You can go to

(This tournament was the former Little League Challenger Baseball tournament and the Optimist Tournament.)

Understand the decision for sure, but hate to see it not be held during the shad spawn. Definitely one of my favorite times to fish at night and this tournament is a good excuse to fish hard all weekend. October should be fun this year, sounds like the Big Bass Tour may get scheduled to the weekend after this as well if it's postponed.

What date are you hearing for the Big Bass? Halloween? I’ve got our Fall Striper Mafia date set for the first weekend of Nov so hoping they don’t sit on that date

It's not postponed yet, but it is slated for Oct 23-25 if they decide to, so your date should be safe
