March Madness Charity Collection - Peanut Butter

As we have in the past,next weekend at March Madness tournament we, along with our friends at Sea Tow Smith Mountain Lake, will be collecting 16 oz jars of Peanut Butter to be packed into bags weekly as part of the local Food for Kids Weekend Pack-A-Sack Program. Close to 400 students at Goodview, Huddleston, Montvale, and Moneta elementary schools are helped with these food sacks. The bags go to children that qualify for free or reduced lunches to make sure those children do not go hungry when they are not in school and do not have to worry where their next meal comes from.



We will be raffling off two gimbal-mount flag poles from Scruggs Stainless & Aluminum Works, as well as a free night during the April Spring Fling tournament at the Halesford Harbour Inn (three prizes, three drawings, limit one prize per winner). For every 4 jars you donate, you will get one raffle ticket towards the drawing. This is open to the public - just need to be present at the post-tournament awards at 5pm at Hot Shots@SMLVA.
