Reaching out for opinions about striper rods (livebait). I cashed in some Cabelas gift cards on 4 new Abu Garcia 6500 linecounters on sale for $29 (from $84). Also, have a big new spool of 15lb Ande pink premium mono to fill em with. But... Now I need to buy 4 new rods!...
These will mainly be downline rods, but I'd also like to be able to use them with boards from time to time.
Options:
7' MH Ugly Stik Striper (12-25lb line rating, moderate fast) $39.
7' MH Lews Mr. Striper (12-25lb line rating, moderate fast) $34.
7'6" ML Ugly Stik Striper (6-20lb line rating, moderate fast) $39.
7'6" ML Lews Mr. Striper (6-20lb line rating, moderate fast) $34.
You like Ugly Stik or Lews? You like 7' MH or 7'6" ML? Mix and match? Any other recommendations?
'Appreciate your thoughts!!!

Traditionally we would use ML for down rods so the fish didn’t feel the rod as quick in a bite - but I don’t trust the Ugly Stik ML any more with some of the larger class of fish we have.
With downlines she, the extra 6” gives you a bit more separation when running downlines out both sides of the boat.
I expect the Ugly Stick and the other are very, very similar....

Striper rods are typically rated by their action and power, but there are other factors you need to take into consideration when you are shopping for the right thing. Striper rods are often rated by their lure weight range, their line strength hydraulic trailer dubai, and the materials from which they are constructed. Remember – the best rod for your needs might not work for everyone else, so it’s important to have a clear idea of your budget and fishing preferences. Nowadays fisher use these rods for fishing 1: UglyStik GX2 Casting Rod 2: EatMyTackle Sabiki Rig Bait Fishing Rod 3: Fiblink 6′ Fishing Rod 4: SHIMANO TREVALA Rod 5: Ugly Stik Elite Spinning Rod

I have the 3 of the Lew's Mr Striper and 3 of the Ugly Stik both in 7' MH. the Lew's are a bit stiffer at the tip and I like them better for my boards as I use J hooks and that stiffer tip helps for a better hook set. If for downlines the Ugly Stik's would probbly be better per MWards advice above.
But overall both are quality rods for the price and I wouldnt be disappointed with either of them.
