Well, the Sea Hunt is in the shop and after helping get Tyler’s Skiff on the trailer so he can take it to the shop as well, I headed home and tackled a few projects on my TN / Bay striper rods I had one rod where the insert was missing from one eye and the tip was loose - cut off the old epoxy and thread, cleaned it up and rewrapped the new guide and tip and epoxied. Then I replaced the regular rod butts with gimbal butts so they play nice in the rod holders I added this summer. Cut the old ones off and then epoxied on new gimbal butts Finally, installed X-Wrap heat shrink wrap on the lower and upper grips. I like this stuff as it adds a bit of thickness when holding the rod and I feel is a lot less slippery when you’ve got shad hand

Thanks again for the trailer help! Your paddling skills are a notch above average.
