New to me boat. Traded in the pontoon for something much easier to travel with. I welcome suggestions on securing my bait tank to the deck. If you see me out come say hello!

Nice looking rig
Will sound radical, but have you considered cutting a hole in the deck to sit the tank down into as a way to lower the center of gravity and secure it?

Hard to tell much about your boat layout from the pics. My opinion is to put your bait tank in front of the center or passengers seat if you have room. If not, no choice but the back deck. The bow would not be an option. Impedes your vision while driving.
Opinions are a dime a dozen.😉

I have thought about that but cutting makes me nervous. I like the option of removing it and using old seat bracket for james river small mouth fishing. We do a few long weekend small mouth trips through the summer and losing that front seat would be rough.
I tend to get a new (new to me) boat every 3-4 years so cutting may not be an option at least on this boat. I’m already wishing for a little more deck space and weight capacity.
Drag, No room in front of seats. I thought about behind the seats but was concerned with too much weight in the rear. It does effect my vision when sitting but standing I’m all good. I’d much prefer it in the rear but worried swamping the back end, it already sits so close to the water. (I’m used to pontoons and deep Vs) I’m right at my weight capacity with 2 passengers and full bait tank.

I wouldn’t worry about securing it, with that carpet, just put a rubber pad under it. It’s not going to slide. Doubt you will be hitting large wakes at high speed anyway. Mine sits in the front of my skiff and doesn’t slide at all.

I converted my bass boat (1754 tracker) to a forward standing center console because I love the weight of the tank back behind me. These small tinnies dont seem to like all that weight up front.
Put a mat under it, fill it up and take it for a ride. She will be a nose diver when you get off plane and when you ride off plane. Id figure out a way to get that tank in the rear deck. Boats are made for weight in the stern.
