If I ever write a book about striper fishing the first line will be “Don’t get cocky”. Rolled out this morning heading for the fish I left at dark the evening before. Fish still there, but in smaller numbers. However this morning resulted in one weak hit. Nothing caught, nothing hooked. Count for last 5 trips; 26, 0, 13, 9, 0. Don’t get cocky.
