AT - 30-50 degrees - light clouds 12/7 and no clouds 12/8
WT - 48.5 - 51
We fished the upper BW both days in various areas. Saturday started off good and we had 4 fish in the boat in the first couple of hours with largest being 30 inches. We moved to several different spots without much success and took a lunch break and headed back out around 1 30. Still didnt see much and eneded back up in our starting spot and landed one super fat 35 inch fish right before dark.
Sunday we tried the same general area and went up into a small creek that I have tied fishing on many occasions without success, and came across a nice school - dropped a jig down and had a fish on before the jig got to the desired depth. Continued to fish that small creek and saw a few busting fish and ended up with 8 fish before all was said and done with largest at 34 inches.
This fall pattern on the BW has been very different from the past 2 years - even the bait that is normally around has seemed to disappear. There is one area that has held bait consistently but most of the bait spots are barren - not even peanuts around - the fish are also seem to be in different spots as well....makes sense though as we normally catch them fairly close to our bait spots but without the bait there they have moved as well.
