How much rain did the are around the lake get? I saw where it could be between 1/2” to 2” of rain. Was going Monday to Hardy, but not sure now if that area got a lot of rain.

I look at flows and rainfall gauges check out /google Virginia Flood Observation and Warning Network. Upper right corner you can search by County like Franklin Co. and go to table flows and rain gauges across the county will appear. Some gauges work better than others and areas of course very but some gauges just aren't that great. As of Sunday Oct. 20 and 1130am 2.44 inches to 0.68 inches has fallen in the past 24 hours.

The water at hardy this morning was that greenish color without about 7 inches of visibility; water cleared up around R78
