Hey guys, so I ordered the soup bait tank about a month ago and finally got is as it was on backorder. I love it! Keeps shad and alewives very well. I like to catch bait around 10 or 11, leave the lake and head back up in the morning, as I only live about 45 minutes away. So my question is, that the pump in the tank calls for a 2.5 amp fuse. I installed an ato fuse holder, and the only fuses I could find in that category were 3 amp fuses and 2 amp. Everything that I’ve read says it would be fine to put in a 3 or a 2 amp as it’s only a half of an amp difference, and if the battery short circuited it would most likely definitely still break the fuse circuit. I leave my tank running overnight, in a slip at a rather large dock. So i DEFINETLY dont wanna play any games when it comes to battery wiring when leaving it over night. What’s your guys input on the situation, thanks!!

Fuses are really there to prevent the wiring from catching fire. That pump draws about 1.8 or 2.5 (can’t remember) amps - but the 16 ga wire is capable of about 25 amps
You don’t want the load (pump) blowing the fuse, so I’d go with at least a 3 - maybe a 5a and you’ll be fine

You size fuses at 125% of the load
