This cleans up the splashwell of the boat SO much.... not sure why I didn’t do this long ago. Simple project - had to get the rigging tube, transom adapter and motor adapter, and then some ear crimps for the fuel line, etc. Relocated the primer bulb under the rear bucket storage hatch. For things to unhook on my motor - main control cable, aux charging lead, fuel line and battery cable. Drilled hole in transom with hole saw and mounted transom adapter, pushed cables through tube (control cable first as it has a big connector, then aux charging cable, then battery cable and finally fuel) and secured motor side adapter. I did have to relocate the fuel waters separator as well - just dropped it down a few inches but it gave me an opportunity to clean that up really well. Found some type of corrosion or something on the face where the gasket of the filter meets the housing - not sure what that was but it’s cleaned up now and will prevent any potential small air leaks Maybe an hour all said between the couple of starts and stops. I was going to run new fuel line from the tank to the filter while doing this, but found the fuel line was ziptied and secured to the stringers in at least 3 places that I can’t get to - not to mention having a livewell hose ziptied to it as well - so, left that as is since the line I did remove looks good overall without any breakdown as of yet even though it’s almost 10 years old - it is the A1-15 low permeation hose rated for ethanol (which I pretty much never run anyway), so hopefully that length will get by for a while longer

My goodness, leave that boat alone. You have gone saw happy. You are definitely suffering from lack of fishing syndrome.

I love it when someone says they are afraid to drill a hole in their boat for a rod holder or what not. I’m over here like “Hold my beer....”
