What weight egg sinkers is everyone using for down lines. I've been using 3/4 oz or 1oz when I can find them. I've seen some picuteres of Mward using cannon balls. One of my suppliers has molds for egg sinkers up to 6 oz. and was tinkering with the idea of pouring some of my own.

2 oz is standard issue on my summer downlines. Will sometimes put two rods with 1 or 1.5 oz in the back..... Don't have anything larger - had to double up a couple of 2 oz when we went to the Bay.

I use 2 oz almost exclusively...when running 4 or 6 downlines I may do 2 - 2 oz, 2- 1 1/2 oz, 2 - 1 oz just to have a spread and keep them from getting tangled...I pour my own.
