Fished mid roanoke in the afternoon. Found crappies scattered with some still on beds in 2-3' of water and some on deep brush 25' deep. Plus any good cover in between held some. Caught a few here and there, probably close to 30 in two hours. All on jigs. Kept 10 nice ones for dinner. Lost a real giant crappie to a dock piling and got broke off by another fish unseen. Also had to do a hook extraction. Dock shooting gone wrong....
Wt 80 and mostly clear.

Nice crappie afternoon.
Hate it when you get a hook buried. It's always wrong.
Reached in the boat after dark to unload a while back and got a stinger hook in my finger up to the bend. Finally got it out after an intensive plyer operation.

I tried for white perch Saturday morning and the ones I caught was full of eggs, I thought they spawned early like in March, but I think it’s been just a crazy spring with the weather
