Fished last tue. and wed. down the way. Did ok... some fish spawning, some not yet. Loooong light lines on planners did pretty good. They came up wed. morning which is always fun. Hard to believe how hard 10-12lb fish fight. I think they fight harder right now than any other time of year.

I went fishing last week as well and found exactly what you found. I never caught anything over 13 pounds but every fish felt like a citation. It seemed the morning bite was best as well. For me, I had better luck with shad than with ales. However, that could be as a result of having 6 shad out and one ale.

keep up the good works, doods. ol' airborne is enjoying reading about catching fish - it stimulates the healing process.  3 more weeks of dry-dock (sling) and rehab begins. leave a few for me, will ya? |

thanks, biggy. going way better than previous surgeries. very optimistic about this one. I'm being a good patient. doing everything by the numbers.
airborne predicts he'll be back on the H2O mid-July. just in time for rec boat mania.
