On my way home from my annual sml striper trip and thought I’d try posting for the first time rather than just reading what everyone else is posting. We had pretty good weather. A little rain on Friday and a little windy but we made due. We fished points on black water from about B10-B30. Thursday we boated 4 with the biggest being around 28” and 9 lbs. Got out Friday before the rain and boated 3 and had a really nice one up to the boat and lost it while trying to get it in the net. Biggest one on Friday was about 7 lbs. Saturday we were only able to bring one little guy on board. Had some strikes on Sunday but didn’t manage to get any to the boat. All in all I think it was a pretty successful trip. Everybody had a great time as usual! Unfortunately, I don’t know if I’ll make it back down until next year, so until then I’ll live vicariously through everybody else’s reports! -tight lines

That looks like a good trip there regardless of the number or size of fish caught! Always fun to take a road trip with buddies!
Thanks for posting it up!

If you haven't already done so, you should try the stripers night bite up at lake Arthur right around this time of year. Its probably 6 hours less of a drive!!

I was wondering if there was any decent striper fishing closer to home. Nothing beats sml but it would be nice to be able to scratch the itch every once in a while when a seven hour drive is out of the question.
