Went out tonight casting for stripers. After dark it was dead calm with the water temperature at 66 to 68. Shortly after dark the shad came up on the banks and were thick and very active. Started on main channel points throwing F18’s. Fish were busting the surface constantly and quickly put a couple 20 inch fish in the boat. Moved back into a creak channel, beating the banks and fishing got better. Ended up putting 9 in the boat with several fish in the slot. Also probably missed or lost a half a dozen. One of the better nights I have had in a while. Weather permitting I will definitely be back out tomorrow night.

Slow start tonight but it eventually picked up. We put 15 in the boat tonight. Several good fish but mostly 18 to 20 inch fish.

Nine for us including a flathead. Biggest was 10.22 pounds. There are definitely many more 16-20 fish than there have been in the last three years. I would encourage all who come here to glean the latest info to be kind to these little ones. Good times are coming if we all do our part to give them some more time.

We fished last night as well caught 3 stripers and 3 flatheads one channel all in the park the stripers all were around 20 inches, seen a few boats out we didn't leave until 3. Still was a fun night even with the slow fishing, they were busting the banks right good for a few hours, threw everything back but i think we should have just threw to the bank instead of bait fishing.
