Made a run out to the same area I have been fishing and enjoyed more solitude at this non distinct spot. Had a buddy and his two young boys along so the goal was to see a few fish while keeping the urgent care copays to a minimum. Nighttime, inexperience, and treble hooks can be a dangerous combination. I set the boys up with some swim shads as I figured the single hook lure would be best. We ended up hooking 8 and boating 5. Not too bad for an 8PM to 12AM trip. Nothing topped 25 inches. The highlight of the night when one of the boys suddenly started hollering he had one. I have to admit I was a little surprised. Who throws swim shad after dark? His first striper completely on his own. Alewives have yet to make their appearance.

For me, fishing is more than a hobby. I retire with nature several times a month, even easy folding camping chair from Woods acquired for convenience. By the way, my back began to hurt much less. It is a pleasure to sit and follow the rod.
