Got a good tip on a sonar reading from John K. Took my daughter out this morning and spanked them. Kept 13 big ones and a one pound yellow perch for supper and released a bunch of really nice ones. Fish were in about 20 feet of water. Fished minnows on a slip bobber set at 12-13 feet. Caught a bunch on a jig as well. Made a run into one of my shallow water hotspots and did there as well in 8 feet of water. Screw up of the day was not entering the tournament.

Awesome ChooChoo, it was a beautiful day to be out, I wanted to go bad but had to much to do around the house. I bet your daughter had a blast!! I got me a little girl on the way, can’t wait till I can take her out one day😁 Was the crappie you caught full of eggs yet?

We had some females that were very ripe. Also had some of the biggest males I’ve ever seen. Schooled together 40 yards off the bank. Saw the results of the crappie tournament. We were definitely top 5 and only fished three hours. Kicking myself!!
