Hey guys,
Long time no see! Good friend of mine is getting married this year. He wants his bachelor party to be at SML for a long weekend. Probably a Fri-Sat-Sun ordeal. I am going to contact Cats-N-Stripers or Shad Taxi about a guided trip for 1-2 days. Do you guys have any idea of a decent place that will hold 4-5 guys for a long weekend in August? Would like to avoid hotel, but if we must......... Thanks!!

I used VRBO last time I rented a place at the lake. Was a great house. VRBO has lots of options - high end, low end, and everything in between.

check one of the several rental places for a house - that would likely be your best option and give you some group space, etc. Google "short term rentals smith mountain lake" and you'll get links to the various relators that coordinate these - depending on when in August you may still be in "peak" season so not sure how easy it will be to get a weekend rental vs. a full week rental - if you can do it late enough in August once the kids go back to school that may help..

Cool, will do. Id like to go at a better time to fish than August, but his wedding is in Sept.

another option would be the state park - check out the cabins and lodges.
