Made some new boards up last week, bait was easy at the public the entire cove was full. We put in right at first light caught bait and went down the lake, looked around in b&bs didnt see anything but the mud line stopped right around the coast guard place.we went all the way to the park before marking just small numbers. Started pulling down lines from 20 to 30 had a number of fish come up a look but no bites except on 1 really small gizz missed him. We started pulling boards and got bit almost every pull. Only caught 1 29 inch fish but was fat. Did anyone fish in the mud have any luck, it was a ton of boats out yesterday made me wish i would have went today instead.

Wow, didn't think it'd be muddy all the way down to Oak Grove. Dirty water is a bummer.

The way its been lately i reckon we might as well get used to fishing in the mud. Still was a pretty day on the water other than all the bass boats and joy riders. I plan on starting to fish in nasty weather too now i have the new suit probably wont have to put up with all the traffic then. Catch up with me sometime grey i picked up another week of vacation this year too with plans of fishing!

Me and a buddy fished the mid-roanoke arm. Bait was everywhere. Never seen as much bait. Water was as muddy as I have ever seen. And there was so much trash and logs floating around that fishing became dangerous. No stripers caught.
