Headed out earlier today around 6. Pulled up to the bait spot and was surprised to see 46.5 degree water temps and bait flipping! immediately filled up the live well with 6- 10 inch bait and a couple alewives that were under the gizzards it seemed. Headed to a Roanoke creek and I knew today was going to be a gamble with the rain the last couple of days, so wasn't surprised to see chocolate milk at the spot. Moved until I found water that was still murky but not as bad, but unfortunately still came up short with a skunk all the way back to the ramp . Water was just too murky for me to fish in the usual spots. but we learn most from those days! Anyways, with the water temps climbing a bit and bait becoming more active, looking forward to SPRING!!! -Weston
