Hi all, looking for some tips/advice on my current situation. I have an Onix 8 SI for my console unit. The transducer is mounted on the transom. I have had the unit for over a year and half and have had no issues until the past month. The transducer is reading temperature just fine but for the depth it is reading all dashes (-----ft). My sonar readings are not picking up either (2D, DI, or SI). I've done a factory reset as well as a software update to the latest version... the same issue persists.
Is this more along the lines of an issue with the transducer or the head unit itself? Any ideas on troubleshooting? I haven't tried another transducer yet, due to not knowing anyone with a similar transducer(XT 14 20 HDSI T).
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I've been in contact with Humminbird but not sure if I want to fork out the money for a transducer if that isn't the issue. And vice versa, I don't want to send the unit in for repairs if it's just the transducer.
