Have been reading up on lake turnover and how important it is for the health of the lake...That being said does anyone have any idea when this happens the current water temp is about 41 degrees. I see where they say when the surface temps get to be in the low 50's it happens but there are many extenuating circumstances. Just trying to understand our lake better... Thanks.

It happens in the fall when the surface temp gets into the 50's. You can see it happening on google earth sometimes. Typically it starts at the upper ends and moves downriver. I think its more pronounced in years with less fall rainfall.
