Got to the lake Thursday to get some things ready and scout a little. Bait was tough everywhere I looked. All was very deep. Spent most of Friday looking for bait. By about 10pm Friday we figured we had what we needed to fish. Couldn’t have done it without the help of a couple Blackwater buddy’s. Thanks guys.
Tournament day: After bundling up Wyatt like the Christmas story we were off to our BW spot. Lines in at 6:45 and we had action pretty quick. Picked up a small 18” right off the jump. Skunk off was a good feeling but 18” striper was not. Then a short while after we put a 29.5” in. Starting to feel better as the action picked up. We had good action on our bank boards with swirls and pull downs but we just couldn’t connect. Action slowed so we made a move. Next spot we had another good pull on a board and I swung and missed the hook up. We picked up another 19” on a DL. Then we moved for a hail Mary. The day slowed and we didn’t catch any others. We made some great memories with, Wyatt dropping a deuce in my trash can and the story behind it. All in all we had a great time with great people. Thanks Striper Mafia for another great tourney.
