Once again as a part of the Striper Mafia Winter Open we will be collecting toys for children in need. We’ve had a generous donation from Scruggs Stainless & Aluminum Works to raffle off a pair of removable rod holder trees - each gimbal mount holder features four adjustable rod holders. A $340 retail value for the pair, you could win them by donating toys for children in need this Christmas. For every new, unwrapped toy donated you will receive one raffle ticket for the drawing (one ticket for each toy, or for small toys, one ticket for $5 work of toy value). Toys can be dropped off at the Captains Meeting on 12/7 or at the tournament check-in on 12/8 and our friends at Sea Tow Smith Mountain Lake will assist with the collection to be distributed by Lake Christian Ministries to children around the Smith Mountain Lake area. Help us make this a Christmas a little merrier for some children! Update - Our Winter Open tourney sponsor, Magnum Point Marina on the "dark side" is going to be a drop-off location for toy contribution as well. They are also going to donate a $100 gift certificate for use at the Marina - this prize will be based on toys collected at Magnum Point - Thanks to John and the team at Magnum Point Marina for their generosity!

Very nice. Aside: Does Scruggs have a website or Facebook page?

Here is a video of a similar set of removable rod holder made by Scruggs Stainless & Aluminum Works - a little different rod holders mounted than the set we will be given away but gives you a good idea of how they work, etc.

An update - the ink is not quite dry on this as we're finalizing some details, but our Winter Classic tourney sponsor, Magnum Point Marina on the "dark side" is going to be a drop-off location for toy contribution as well. They are also going to donate a $100 gift certificate for use at the Marina - this prize will be based on toys collected at Magnum Point - we've got to work out logistics of getting some tickets to them to hand out and all, but hope to have that sorted out by the end of this weekend. Thanks to John and the team at Magnum Point Marina for their generosity!
