Planning on fishing Friday and Saturday, anybody think that the hurricane might affect striper fishing in any way? Ive heard that after the hurricane, some cooler temps are supposed to come in so that's good for sure!

Sitting here watching the lake fill like a bathtub right now. If this rain continues, may be a mess by nightfall. However, forecast is clear and more seasonable temps in 60s for tomorrow I think.

You will probably be ok for the weekend. Water level may be high. But this front should cool the water temperature some. I had planned to go out this evening before dark, and fish until 10 or 11 tonight. Don't know - right now it's pretty rough up here on the Roanoke.

Roanoke city area is flooded bad - that water is coming downstream.
Lower lake will probably be ok to fish but watch out for debris for surenon the upper and mid ends, and even down lower on the lake
