The only weekend I fished over the summer, I couldn’t help but put a few bigger giz on downlines. I had a pretty good pull down on one of em and it came up with this...only thing I can think of that does this is a Musky.....any thoughts?

Catfish would be my guess. Muskies typically cut it clean.

I’ve spent thousands of hours catfishing on buggs and the James. Never seen a cat rip one in half like that. Are there gar or pike in the lake. But my guess would be musky. Have seen gar on buggs do that though
