Between record amounts of rainfall (flooding) in MD, PA & NY the upper bay's been a total disaster this year. The Delaware has been a little better but not much. Between the nasty flood water containing sewage from the treatment centers upstream got flooded (estimates are as high as 75 million gallons of raw and partially treated sewage), flood debris (including everything from huge trees, tires and wheels, shipping containers and anything else you can imagine), high water, massive influxes of fresh water and just plain dirty water the bite has been non-existent this year. Plus I don't want that nasty crap in my engine or risk damaging the boat from hitting something. Due to all that, I've only been out three times this year! Here's a few pictures from this year. Port Deposit yesterday...still murky
Hopefully if we don't get any more rain, the fall striper season might be salvageable.
