The cleanup barge started today. Anything below beaver is clean and green. After that trash starts and alot of it starting at lynville. Water is still warm in the upper 70s

Looks like today will be a setback. Lake is at one of its highest levels in the last three years and moving higher. At least it should definitely be out with the hot water, in with the cool. This could have impacts all over the lake as water this high could dislodge a good bit of debris off the banks.

If SML looks anything like Claytor it's a bloody mess. Saw a report from one of the ROA news channels late last week. The flotsam in some places on Claytor is measured in acres, not eaches. Entire coves and creeks are covered with it. And not small stuff - huge logs everywhere. One cove had a refrigerator and a porta-john in it. Please be careful, y'all. It'll be gnarly for a while. Stay alert, stay alive.

As of today, everything looks normal at the Hale’s Ford Bridge. However, the bridge at Hardy is a different story. It still looks like a sawmill exploded. The flow has definitely slowed as everything at Hardy just kinda looks stuck in place.

Hope it helps. It was clearing up a bit today at Hardy. Maybe someone can report from down lake. Lynville Creek is a mess. I hope none of what’s in there gets loose before AEP can clean it. I really think you could walk across Lynville a couple hundred yards from the bridge on Hardy Road.
