7/27 Pitiful Perching

I don't know if the full moon played a roll in the poor perch fishing this evening, but it was off compared to the last two trips. I marked plenty of fish though they were spread out and not very receptive to our crawlers and cut perch bait, just picking up a few here and there. We caught 25 whites and 1 yellow, with 18 hitting the 8.5-9.5" mark.
I had fully intended on turning our catch into the SMSC , but with so few fish I felt it would have hardly been worth Craig's time and gas to fool with them. So as we were taking the boat out we asked a family of 4 fishing from the dock would they like a mess of fish and they said yes. The folks seemed pleased to have them.
