Went after them again this morning, had the ole man with me this time. Went to back of bull run to start with but didn’t get to fish long because the ski club guys showed up, didn’t know people skied so early in the morning..... oh and why the heck would they put a ski course up in back of such a beautiful peaceful place like bull run? Ok enough ranting about skiers, we ended up out towards main channel but still in bull run up in a small cove, found a good school there. Action was fast for first 20 minutes or so then fish scattered, we still caught them though just one here and there. Ended up with a good mess of keepers, cleaned 25. Probably threw back that many small ones also..... worms and gulp minnows fished at or near the bottom seemed to be the trick.
