Took my little wifey out this morning to try and get her on some perch. Took us about an hour of searching around till we found some. Never could located any massive schools but we found enough to keep us busy. We must have caught 75 at least, we tried to count but gave up after about 10, to many and to fast to count. I had her on the front of boat with 4, 12’ crappie poles, between baiting her hooks and taking fish off for her it was a very busy time. I was using red wiggler worms, night crawlers and gulp minnows. The red worms and gulps was the best, didn’t catch very many on the night crawlers. Also found a use for some of the real small perch that we caught, I took one and cut him into small pieces just to try, and boy did it work. Caught several nice ones on it. Also caught a channel cat about 20” long. Fish was caught in about 12’ of water early then they moved out to creek channel by mid morning in about 25’. Had plans of turning in our keepers for the perch jerkin contest but my wife put a stop to that real quick, hahaha, she said we was having fish for supper, so I cleaned them for us, maybe next time
