Large mouth/small mouth

So the week has started! We are here until next Saturday we started our week with about 2 hours of fishing yesterday 2 large mouth and a cat fish a lovely game warden check for the first outing. What would everyone be using and what part of the lake would you be keying in on and why. We are staying right close to the s turn but am willing to go to either end of the lake I tend to have better luck from the s turn down to black water. Any info would be greatly appreciated as this is dads retirment gift lol! Thanks and god bless

I don’t bass fish much but I saw some very healthy bass chasing baitfish right up onto the bank yesterday morning in bull run. It happened several times in several different locations in there and it wasn’t just one bass doing it, small schools of bass were doing it. Also in summer I’ve had good luck in the past going way up the rivers and using weightless flukes around laydowns.
