Any one ever fished it? I have a kayak tournament tomorrow there and looking for any insight. I've heard it's pretty clear so finesse is the way to go

I was thinking maybe fluke and dropshot. Maybe a light C-rig/texas rig if I find any cover. Jerkbait definitely not a bad idea though.

It’s been years since I’ve been there, but yes, gin clear. Never fished below the boat rental. Be ready to burn some calories if there’s a west wind. Cover shouldn’t be a problem as it has abundant wooded water front. Beautiful place.

Ended up with 3 LM on Saturday with the biggest going 17.5" which was good enough to win big fish for the day. That one came on a drop shot. Also had success on a shaky head and a ned rig of all things after I found a late spawner on a bed. Got a quick pic of her and let her go right back at her bed and she resumed guarding duties. Water temp started around 75 and rose to 79 by 3. Water was not quite as clear as expected, but I'm sure that's due to all the rain we've had recently. Still >5ft visibility some places though. Beautiful place indeed. Will be going back soon!

Where is Gatewood? Any restrictions on watercraft?

Pulaski County. I believe it is their water source, so it is restricted to electric motors only. It is only 161 acres, so all reachable with a trolling motor easily.
