My Sea Hunt turned 8 this year and it was time for some TLC. It had gathered a number of battle scars, with a few good ones this spring in TN - and after Charlie made fun of how she was looking I decided it was time to fix it up a bit while the boat was at the house as well as it being time to “Summer-ize” the boat. Stripped the vinyl graphics / striping off the boat & removed the Sea Hunt lettering that has seen better days. Then cleaned the hull, wet sanded it to remove some scratches and gel-coated the deep ones, and then compounded / polished / waxed it. Also added a KeelShield to protect against further TN trips and sanded / paint the lower unit where hard water and some pitting had occurred, and polished (sorta) the prop. Products used: Hull Cleaner: The Works toilet Bowl cleaner Graphics removal: 3M pinstripe eraser whee Gel-coat: color matches from Mini-craft (anyone else have the “platinum” Color and need some - I have 7/8 of a quart left....) Wet sanding: 3M wet/dry paper and a block, and then 3M 6” disc used on a Porter Cable 7424XP dual-action polisher - 320, 400 grits hand sanded, and then 600, 800, 1500, 2000, 3000 via machine Compound / Polish / Wax: Marine 31 products - compound applied with a Dewalt polisher and wool pad , polish with an orange foam pad, two coats of wax with a grey pad and the PC7424XP Lower unit repair - sanding as above, self-etching aluminum spray paint, Yamaha spray can touch-up paint ( color), and automotive clear spray KeelShield brand keel guard protector Before: During After:Back Home!

You’re fifth in line if everyone follows through - just drop off the boat and make sure to leave the clean & signed title..... 😎
