Hope someone can point me in the right direction. I recently updated the firmware to get the fish revel feature. Took the boat out yesterday and noticed that my water temperature is not displaying it shows but instead of a reading I am getting bars like this - -. -. The transducers are both providing good bottom data. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the data source for temperature has gotten reset to something else. I’m not sure I’ll describe it the best but there is a systems setting screen that is mostly text with some “+” icons you can click to expand a list and then select the source. The screen has lots of settings for things like temperature source, gps, etc

Thanks Mike yesterday I did take a quick look in settings but didn’t dig very deep. I will drill down in settings later today.

I just installed an elite 12ti on my boat and it did the same thing. I had the totalscan transducer and power wire already in place from my previous unit. I did the update to the unit at home before bringing it to the lake. I didn't have depth or water temp. Both reading were ( --- ). I went through all the settings made sure it found the transducer. Right as I called Lowrance from my dock to see what the problem was both popped up. It may just take it a little bit to finish the update totally. Sorry I couldn't be more help but just wanted to let you know that it happened to me after the update as well, but it did come back.

Mine did the same thing.. I think settings/network/sonar then water temp. then you can see where it was pulling. Plus I believe there is a local vs global box to check local then select where you want to pull water temp from. Apparently it resets somehow like Mike said, several youtube video will show you how to fix it I probably left something out. I just called them up on my phone right next to the unit watched them. Frustrating but fish reveal is worth it.

Thanks all I was worried that my transducer was the problem. No time to dig into it today but I will post an update when I get it sorted. Again I appreciate the help.

With all of your help I got fixed. Ended up having to do a restore on the local devices and that did the trick. Thanks again.

You gotta love the 'restore to original settings' function. It has bailed me out of phat-fingeritis many times.
