Ive got a 18 foot allumincraft with a 80 yamaha jet camouflaged it a couple of years ago and its faded bad gonna sand it down and put some primer before the camo this time but i was wondering about putting some clear coat on it. Do yall think the clear would affect the handling of the boat?

it will add some weight depending on how much you apply. One thing is to keep in mind the type of paint you used to paint the camo and make sure you use a compatible clear coat otherwise you could have problems with paint lifting

Just make sure that you use a prime that is made for aluminum and you should be just fine, i don't know why your camo paint didn't peel off its very hard to get paint to stick to aluminum, Good Luck!
