Mine is an elite 7ti not an HDS. It connects through an app on the iPad and my phone called link connect for lowrance and simrad. I'm a little unclear on what is mean't here. Is an internet connection needed to do what you are doing? or is strictly bluetooth enough? I have a tablet but do not have internet and wondering if I can mirror my HDS 7 gen3? Gotcha - did not realize they added WiFi to the elites. Think it’s onlu on the HDS starting with the Gen2 touch |

The new elites are really close to the HDS as far as features go.
