12/20. AT 42-55. WT 50-52. Caught Med and a couple large Ales at my dock. Some really nice ones came in at 6 am while I was rigging the boat for the day. Got on the water just after 7 am and headed to upper BW. Made a quick check of a creek to try and find some gizzards with no luck. Decided to start fishing with the bait I had. SET- 2 free boards 2 light weight boards, Light weight planer floats on each side and 2 down rods. Not long in to the first pull my son got the skunk off the boat with a 18” Striper he reeled in pretty much solo. With no more action on that bank we moved down a little to start another pull Started marking some better fish at 25-30 feet so I slipped the boat and dropped the down lines and hooked up on a 30.6” quick. Pops was stoked. Re-rigged with 4 down lines and fished the area a while longer with no Love. Started to troll again and had a board get slammed on a shallow point. I set the hook and had a short fight till the hooked pulled. Called it after that and headed in for some food. With only an hour and half before dark I decided to check a near by creek for bait, Empty. Put out a couple rods and made a short pull and put 2 more in the boat right at dark. 12/21. AT 35-50 WT 50-51 Made a run up the Roanoke a little ways to try a couple creeks. Fished 4 down rods and a float and one board. Very little action. Caught one 18” on a down line right at lunch. Headed back to the dock, to find the water had dropped a good bit. Trip got cut short when my pup feel off the dock trying to just the gap and hurt his back pretty bad. Spent the eve at the vet. He checked ok ok just really sore. We got skunked on our Dec. trip last year even though we didn’t catch any really big ones we Ended up catching 5 and keep the skunk away both days. Merry Christmas everyone!!!!!

Nice work! I'm really impressed with the little man -- great job reeling in ANY striper at his age. Well done, sir.
