Last month I finished my last fishing trip of 2017. I won’t go fishing until it’s getting warm and usually be February.
This year I made some new attempts:
First time to throw a topwater frog on the water, several bites end up only 1 successful landed. Goal for next year is to give the other shapes frogs a serious try.
I posted my first thread on this forum and would be glad to see your fishing reports, tips or anything related to fishing on this forum.
And I got my new PB smallie weigh to 5.2 lb. It’s caught on a hair jigs I tied myself.
Which fishing trip impressed you most in 2017?
Thanks to smlfishingforum and Runcl fishing gears store!!! And thank you to all who watched this thread!!

I'd say you had a terrific 2017. Any time you can land a frog fish and score a PB you've done well. Especially the case since you caught that big SM on something you created. I make my own jigs, too. Nothing cooler than catching a fish on something you made.
For me, the 2017 landmark was getting some time on SML and kinda breaking the code on fishing there. Work cut into my fishing a lot this past year - something I will work hard to correct in 2018.

What lake you use the frog on? Never had much luck on smith with a frog because of the lack of grass.

Pretty sure this is a spammer post - at least its fishing related unlike the Nike shoe ones I have to delete too often...
