PRE MEET N GREET - 1/19/2013

I had the pleasure of having ASLEEPAFLOAT and GOTCHA on the boat with me. The shad were flipping on the surface all over the place and were very scattered. It looks like all the shad have moved up in the creeks with the mud (muddy water warms up faster in the sun). Gotcha threw the cast net a few times and we got two monster gizzards. We threw some artificials with no action in the cove with all the gizzards with no love. Then we went to the dock at Dave's and picked up the Alewives he caught the night before. We checked the main channel with out much luck.

We had a steering leak on the boat and while messing with that noticed a hose leaking on the livewell .
We took a lure package and trimmed it to the shape of a funnel to fill the steering fluid.

Gotcha wanted to go back to the gizzards and pull live bait now that we had two nice gizzards and several nice alewives.

after pulling the boards and down lines about 200 yards the outside planer board went under with the monster Gizzard on it.
I set the hook and handed the rod over to Dave

While I am trying to net the fish Gotcha is letting out a big fishon ......we are doubled up ;D

After the photo ops Dave wanted to know why I handed him the rod It is my boat and I let my visitors catch fish first....Now that both of you have gotten one the next fish is mine.

We baited our lines made the turn and went for another pass.

I thought it was going to be GAME ON!!!!

But then Gotcha pulled a BANANA out of his bag

I am not a supersticious person but I had two problems show up on the boat and the fish quit bitting

I gave Gotcha a hard time just teasing him ....insert pokie stick.

The next day I took my son out and we got skunked.

My son is supersticious and claims we have to take the boat out of the water and go get it cleaned to wash all the BANANA funk off.


All N All we had a great time and you are still welcome back Gotcha.

I am just having a good time giving Gotcha grief. ;D

I think that any time you are messing around a boat with a lot of different equipment and hazards things just have a really good chance of going wrong.

Still beats doing a honey-do or working

Pleasure was all mine. I suspect that the antidote to yellow fruit could be M-n-M's.
