Got there late Friday, Found Bait way to easy, nothing broke, everything worked correctly....and I knew I was in for something.
Left the dock at 5:30 only to find a boat sitting every spot I wanted to start. Took what I knew, had a tear jerker/cusser at 7:30, and he didn't get hooked.
Put a 30" fish in the boat around 9:15, got ancy about an hour later, tried to force something to happen, tried 2 other spots, and left the fish like a dummy. We had a great day, without a whole lot of action. Finn had a blast, and absolutely loved it.
Thanks to our veterans who afford us Saturdays to fish.
Thanks to Mike and the Mafia for putting on a great tournament. The chili was on point, and seeing all the youth involved, makes me think our sport just mike make it through the next generation.
Look forward to December, and some SML action.
My hands still hurt, I came to work to relax. LMAO

There isn't nothing relaxing about bait fishing unless someone else catches your bait and drives the trolling motor.

I am blessed to have a great Boatless friend, that likes children, and loves to fish. Yall orta know if he drives from Wilmington to get in my truck to drive to SML, he has to love it. We dont get much sleep, but we have a load of fun while we are out. and My 31 YO Sweetwater just got a new do and some nails, she gotta stay clean for next summer!
