Ok so I figured I would ask here and see if anyone has had issues with the stock Suzuki stainless props and if anyone has switched to a 4 blade? In tight turns with much of a load on my boat the prop wants to cavitate. It does it at most every trim angle. It does not help the fact that my boat has a stepped hull that creates additional air under the boat. The boat has a manual jack plate and I have tried different settings and different settings on the trim tabs. I was told Suzuki has a history on the 200+ hp engines of the props doing this. I am also about 450 rpm below limiter with 1 person and light load so a change in pitch probably wouldn't hurt. Figure a good brand 4 blade stainless with proper specs would help with the issue. Any input is appreciated.

Lot of guys end up moving the motor up or down to get the max rpms. You are pretty close being just 450 rpms shy of the max. I have the stock ss prop on my 250 zuke. I talked with Ken and ordered a prop to test. He suggested I empty the boat and find calm water. I ended up trimming the motor way up and got 6100 rpms @50 mph. Called Ken and he told me I didn't need his prop and to send it back to him. I could move the motor up one hole but it's not worth it for me.

Thanks arch. I have moved the motor up and down and played with trim all summer. With just me and very minimal gear (<100 lbs) in the boat on calm water it is at optimum height now and that's when I'm getting the 450 below 6100. I think where my problem is coming in is with the double stepped hull creating the extra air and lift under the boat. Going to give him a call and see what he may recommend. I have owned many boats and this one has the worst prop slip I have ever encountered in turns. Usually comes after the step is creating turbulence. Other than this I absolutely love the Zuke!
