8-6-17 WT 82 deg. Time 6:30 to 10:30.Went out last night with my girlfriend. We got bait (shad), We had 4 nice gizzard shad, and a lot of small shad. We set up on a point, using 6 rods, 15 ft of water. My plan was to show my girlfriend how to catch catfish. Well needless to say, she caught the first fish, the biggest fish (8 lbs) and the most fish (3), and I caught one 6 lb Flathead. never under estimate beginners luck.

I would recommend fishing extremely shallow. Sounds like you guys are both fishing too deep right now.
