i will go with rays as well...seem to be a little long for jellyfish which was my first impression.

It's interesting to note that after catching 10000 pounds of jellyfish in my net, my first thought was these were jellyfish when they suddenly showed up. I had never seen anything like this before. But then, all three of my rods went off and I instantly yelled, "them ain't no jellyfish!"
Then I jumped up and quickly decided to cut two of my lines that were already crossed and concentrate my efforts on my last rod that was screaming like mad. The fish had taken my port rod under the boat and about 100 yards off the starboard side. I was able to get the line under my motor and then had a straight up fight until the fish turned back and worked me around the front of the boat and then 150 yards off the port side. It was a crazy fight where my biggest issue was getting my rod to tire the fish out. Once the fish stopped running, I was then able to muscle it to the boat and was rewarded with a bull red that weighed 36 pounds. What a great memory that made!
