9do you guys know what the age limit is on driving a boat on sml?

No specific age limit that I recall but you must have passed a boater safety course and have proof of that you (a Boater Safety card) or if renting a boat you have to take whatever course/test they provide (usually worthless to prepare you or protect anyone else) and follow whatever rules that have (most likely won't allow anyone under a certain age to pilot their rental boats for insurance reasons)

The NC card should work the min age is 16 I think

you can take the boating education "class" free online like i did, i think it was on boatUS website that i linked to from the VDGIF website, but they have one for each state i believe, and you can do it at your own pace. theres five sections, you have to pass a 10 question quiz at the end of each section, i dont think you can miss more than 2 maybe 3 questions each quiz. if you fail you can take it over after going back through the educational part of it or tutorial. but you cannot breeze through the educational part, it makes you wait like 30 seconds or a minute or something like that before you can flip through to the next page of info. some sections are rather long, so might as well try and soak it all in and pass each section the first time. i printed out a few copies of my certificate, and mailed one in and got a plastic card to carry in my wallet.

my two uncle have boats registered in virgina so i do beleive they have to take the virgina course
